Classic Contemporary Aesthetic

Fulham house exterior

A large side, rear, roof and basement extension transforming a cramped home with only one bathroom into a light, airy and spacious 5 bed property with 4 bathrooms. A stunning classic contemporary aesthetic was developed throughout the property, evoking luxury and comfort.

This 1900s Victorian terraced Nicholas Lion house now has a generous kitchen and dining area with a truly unique look, the breakfast bar curving round from the wall creating a smooth curl of cabinets with black and white details contrasting beautifully. This works perfectly with the darker details of the dining chairs and accessories, such as the large classic clock and rustic lanterns.
The front living room combines cool base colours with flashes of mustard, embracing a classic French contemporary feel. The second dining and entertaining area attached to the front living room is a centrepiece in itself, covered chairs surrounding a unique wooden round table, and brought together with a modern feature chandelier.

"Nicola Scannell created a unique and truly stunning property in Fulham, which we assisted with the house staging of. It was a pleasure working with Nicola – not only for her creativity, but also her friendly professionalism and prompt communication made the project a delightful experience."

Small touches around the home, such as a backlit mirror in the bathroom, stylish window seating in the bedrooms, feature ornaments and a new patio with a garden seating area for the exterior, give the property a high end feel, matching its stunning location in London.

“We try to give a property personality, depth and narrative from the pieces in our archives, so that it feels lived-in, and not like someone has just bought a lot of furniture from a showroom. It’s the little details that lend character.”
